MackMazing Acres is setting aside a special field trip day specifically for students with disabilities!
We believe EVERY student deserves the opportunity to experience a fun day of learning, exploring and making memories at the farm!
We also understand that a traditional field trip schedule doesn’t always work for every student. Some students may need additional time due to mobility needs, transitioning from one station to another, sensory needs, or other individual needs.
So on Thursday, October 8, we’re slowing things down!
The farm will be open 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM to better accommodate school schedules while allowing our groups longer transition and rotation times throughout their visit.
- Longer time periods for rotations
- Additional time to transition between stations
- Hands-on farm experiences and activities
- A slower-paced, more relaxed schedule
- Flexibility for teachers, aides and caregivers to assist their students
- Access to our Special Needs Room for anyone who may need a quiet, private space
There is no need to rush. Our goal is to give students the time and flexibility they need to participate, explore and enjoy their MackMazing Acres field trip at a pace that works for them.
Schools, special education classrooms, homeschool families and organizations serving students with disabilities are welcome.
